Ok, so most of you know, my good friend Janette Donohue came back to visit the good ol' State of NH. (She moved to Missouri a little bit after graduation and now lives out there and goes to school there too.) So, she hung out with me and alyssa for the first few days (she stayed at my place) and then I dropped her off at another person's house. From there, they went to the Kiss Concert--some kind of a tradition, I guess. Which is cool. I, personally, wouldn't waste the $50 to see Will Smith and the Backstreet Boys perform, because...well, they suck. Gwen Stefani WAS good but now, sucks as well. But the person Janette went with is still stuck in the teeny-bopper phase...which is fine, if you were still in Junior High. So, I was reading some livejournals and came across this:
"Holy crap, kiss concert was wicked amazing, and I am so excited that I got to go! Janette I had a blast, thanks for coming back to go with me...I will have to make sure I can make it back so we can go next year." (the emphasized phrase was my doing)
Because Janette OBVIOUSLY came out here for that SOUL reason, to go to a crappy concert. She doens't have ANY other friends here BESIDES YOU. Oh no! No way! And OF COURSE she'd drop hundreds of dollars to come BACK out here to do it again. So you can be anal about what time you leave and call her 39578298467297699 times? Maybe you'll call and SHOW UP at my house again too, that's cool, because you know, you CAN'T WAIT YOUR GODDAMN TURN LIKE THE REST OF US.

WOAH!
I know, it's been over a month since I've updated. So I'll give you the update on the last month or so.
-March was boring, so now it's April
-April, I did the following:
*Turned 21
*Picked new Housing for next year (Washington 203 with my buddy Kaci Allard!!!)
*I was nominated/voted for CSA (Culinary Students Association) Vice President, and I won, except there was a shitload of drama, but it was solved so everything is good.
*Went to Florida to dance in DISNEYYYY (ugh I hate that place)
*Studied for Finals
NOW I am in the process of packing up my room and headin' out of here for the summer.
I am working at SNHU cafeteria still for my summer culinary co-op, so I will be around if you wanna chill or have a POOL PARTY or something.
At the beginning of the semester, I was bummed because my clases had all these different people in them and I was missing my old group. In SNHU culinary- one semester, you ahve the same group of kids that go around to all the same classes as you do. Then, you all get split up 2nd semseter and the same happens. So this new group has expanded my friends circle and it has been AWESOME! Although, nothing compares to the first semester group (maybe we can switch out bethany duca/steve downs/and a few others and replace 'em with cool kids). Awesome!
So yes, another year winds down to nothing, and summer. I am excited for summer, yet sad 'cause I'll probably be working all the time. Oh well! :)
Now I'm gonna study and eat because mom's comin up today.
Yikes

Ok, spring break starts a week from Friday! YES! I definitely need this break....
I'm so busy with everything it isn't funny. Between work, homework, school, and boy-o, I have time to do ALL my work on Sat night. I have 2 free nights a week, and Tues, Wed and Fri I work or am at dance until 10:30 PM. Yuck!
Now I'm putting off making a dessert menu. I've lost some weight, but overate tonight nad feel kind of gross. GROSS. Workout tomorrow? HA I dont think so...bakeshop and French and work.
blah.
I'm going home this weekend 'cause I NEED the time off and I need to sleep in my own bed. I miss it.
Anyway, I'm gonna go finish my menu and whatever.

I love my job.
That's about it. I used to hate working Fridays 'cause there were people that I thought didn't like me. For no reason whatsoever, they didn't. Now, I am completely comfortable with them and its so much fun.
I have made a ton of friends here, and I love them all. No doubt about that. But I definitely dig this Bridget character. She's awesome and I'm gonna miss her next year 'cuase she's transferring to some weird school I've never heard of. Blah.
But she's awesome. And the champ of belching.
HOO-ah!

I'm going to bed. I just got off the phone with DAN FRICKEN DIPPO that lasted about 45 mins.

It is true!
Anyway, I went ot the winter percussion show on Sunday. Well, the guard was there, too. Too many fucking obnoxious guards. Thank God Salem is actually good.
Anyway, I thought both groups did really well. I jsut have one thing to say, however:
Dear Winter Percussion Kids
I know and understand why you guys were all disappointed with your show. I know how it feels to work so hard and have great rehearsals and dress rehearsals, then screw up on the most important day. I understand you guys got a huge lecture. However, I also know that the reason you compete is to improve your show every single time. Don't look at this as a fuck-up. Look at it as an opportunity to get better. To the untrained ear, you wouldn't even notice the phasing. Even some band kids didn't even notice it. So don't take it so hard, it's the beginning of the season. Things will get better. You guys are definitely capable of improving. You guys know that, and I know that.
On another note: to those percussion kids people congratualed and you laughed at them. "hey, you know you guys did a really good job even tho there were some problems" "HA!"
That was rude. Realize that these people (not just me) paid and donated to go see and support you and your group. The fact that they said you did a good job, and you laughing or giving some remark such as "yeah well it sucked" can't possibly make them feel good about going. I know when that happened to me, I wish I hadn't said anything. Please keep in mind your audience as well, and accept the compliments with grace. They're offering you your support. Don't turn them away!

| A lazy Saturday Morning. |

Good morning everyone.
Just letting you know I'm still alive. It's been a busy week, however. I don't feel the need to go into much detail, some of it is sad. So, I don't feel like being sad.
V-Day--pretty good. Chris and I didn't really celebrate. We just went out to dinner and that's about it. No need to make a huge fuss over a day which is so stupid anyway, right?
I did my shadowing for table serivce the other day and the restaurant was PACKED! Oh man it was busy. I was running everywhere. It was kind of fun though. So that was good.
Yesterday I had bakeshop *yaaay* and we made panna cotta, chocolate mousse and cream cheese bavarian that kind of tastes like cheesecake. We added strawberries to 'em :) YUM! they were so good and are now taking up half my refrigerator. hahahaha.
This semester is much busier than the last. I find myself having "free time" which isn't exactly free. I do all my homework on Saturday. I KNOW, FREAKIN SATURDAY. haha They're keeping me running around over at the lovely HO building (hospitatlity building). But it's fun.
Steve Horaj's comin up to visit/take a tour with me on the 4th so that will be exciting! I can't wait! We're going to lunch at the restaurant, then he'll get a tour of the hospitality school, he's goin to a lecture with me and then he's getting a tour of the school. It should be fun.
But now I must depart and do laundry, so I'll see you when I see you! :)

Well, once again I have neglected to update this thing. Sorry.
My winter break is almost over, which sucks 'cause I don't want to do this class thing anymore, but it's good 'cuase, well, I wanna go back to SNHU. I wanna live on my own again and see all my friends. Whatever
So to sum up vacation:
Saw Chris a lot, Christmas was good, New Year's was good, Janette visited, that was fun. Uhh I worked at Filene's for inventory, surprisingly, not too shabby. Better than last year. I may get trained on register and work there over breaks. Which is good, it's good money. The only issue is over the summer when I have to do an internship for culinary. Filene's will want me to work too...meh. I gotta talk to Mark (onna the big manager guys) about that.
Oh and the big news is MY COMPUTER WORKS AGAIN! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well tomorrow's my last day at work so I'm headin to bed!

Hey, it's been SO long since I've written, sorry!
Anyway, nothing much is new. Im' on break in Windham until Janurary 17th. Umm...yeah. there's not much else. I've been seeing chris a lot, I have no money, and tonight there's a dinner party at my place.
OH lovely, in October I planned out this new year's gig, right? Ok, so I mentioned it to these kids Ian adn Katie ONCE 'cuase it was in planning. Neither of them gave me a straight answer and they hardly talk to me. It was never mentioned again. I made all these plans and stuff,only to find out, yeah they're coming. So, they were "uninvited" which I feel awful about, 'cuase in no way did I mean to hurt their feelings, but I was only allowed so many people. The people I did invite were the ones who expressed interest in it and gave me ideas more than once. SO, this is his away message.
"so now that me and katie have been uninvited to laurens tommorow we're looking for something to do I think... so kate left it up to me to find that something so if you got a good idea let me know"
Am I overreacting or is this very immature?

Hi. I'm Lauren and I'm FINALLY updating. Sorry it's been so long but I've had about 20 bajillion things I have had to do since I got back. So here's my finals sched, so you'll know WHY I'm not goign to be updating for a bit.
Wed (as in tomorrow): Last Bakeshop 8-12:15 :( and Last Math Classes 12:30-1:45.
Thurs-Work 5-10:30
Friday: Culinary Skills and Procedures Final at10:30 AM. Principles of Supervision Final at 1:00 PM.
Sat: 11-whenever-Review for Sanitation Final.
Sunday-STUDYING
Monday: Bakeshop Final 8 AM. Culinary Math Final 10:30 AM.
Tuesday: Sanitation Final at 10:30 AM.
Wednesday: Intro to Culinary Arts Final at 8:00 AM. Then pack the car up and then H.O.M.E. for B.R.E.A.K.
Somewhere in there I will be packing and cleaning my room.
THen I move back in here by Jan 17th, I think.\

Siiick!! In about a 1/2 hr my mom will be home to take me back to SNHU. Sigh. If I had a car, I would've been OUT of here by now. I'm stealing some cookbooks to take back for my wonderful Recipe Cost Card Project...which I can get done by Wed? ::crosses fingers:: here's hoping.
This past weekend has been good. I got my Christmas shopping done. Woot. I MAY pick up something else for Chris---we'll see. I also have to buy some stuff for the little gifts for my Culinary Friends. Soo, I got a few more things done.
Anyway...I should go seeing as how my mom will be here pretty soon.

Obviously my family.
Duh. They've been there throughout it all and I really appreciate all they do for me. Sure, they drive me nuts, but hey, they're supposed to do that. They're my family.

Since your freshman year of high school we've been buds. We have fun filled nights of just driving around singing songs and making up versions of our own. (Remember Subway?). You make me wonderful mix CDs that are jus devine and we just get along soo well. We can talk about anything, no matter how rediculous it seems. Car buddy misses you, as I'm sure you miss him, too. What to say?!?! It's been almost seven long years (maybe 8?) since you moved to Kentucky.
